Terms of use
The terms for using YIP Note.
Effective 1 October 2026
In short
- 3 months free from your first sign-in, with nothing to pay and no card.
- Then ₹600 a year through the App Store, renewing until you cancel.
- Your documents and notes are yours and stay on your device.
- When the free months or subscription end, nothing is deleted: you can still read and export.
These terms are between you and YourIPLawyer.in (Adv. Rohit Pradhan), “we”, the maker of YIP Note. By signing in to YIP Note you agree to them and to our privacy policy.
1. Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. One person, one account; you may use it on up to three devices at a time and remove a device in Settings → Account. Keep your Apple or Google sign-in safe: whoever can use it can use your YIP Note account.
2. Free months
Each new account gets 3 months of full use, free, starting on its first sign-in. No payment details are asked for. The free months are given once per person; deleting an account and signing in again does not start them again.
3. The yearly subscription
- After the free months, full use costs ₹600 a year (the App Store shows the exact price for your country, including any taxes Apple applies).
- You buy it inside the app through Apple’s App Store. Apple takes the payment under Apple’s terms; we never receive your payment details.
- It renews automatically each year unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the renewal date, in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or in the app: Settings → Account → Manage subscription).
- If you cancel, you keep full use until the end of the year you have paid for. Refunds are decided by Apple under Apple’s rules.
- We will give notice in the app before any change of price takes effect for you.
4. Gift codes
We may give gift codes (Apple offer codes) for free months. A code is redeemed through Apple, gives the free period stated with it, starting on the day it is used, and then becomes a yearly subscription at the normal price unless you cancel before the free period ends. Codes have no cash value, cannot be exchanged, and may expire.
5. When the free months or subscription end
The app becomes view-only: you can still open, read, search and export everything you have made, but not add or change anything until you subscribe or use a code. Nothing is deleted. The app checks your subscription at least once a week; if a device cannot go online to check, it is view-only until it can.
6. Your content
Documents you import and the marks and notes you make belong to you (or to whoever owns them) and are kept only on your device. We cannot see or recover them, so keep backups. You are responsible for having the right to use the documents you import, and for keeping client material confidential on your device.
7. Fair use
Do not misuse YIP Note: for example, do not try to get around the subscription, copy or resell the app, break its security, or use it for anything unlawful.
8. Not legal advice
YIP Note is a tool for reading and organising papers. Nothing in the app, including its messages and jokes, is legal advice.
9. The app is provided as it is
We work to keep YIP Note reliable, but we do not promise it will always be free of errors or available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data on your device, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for YIP Note in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for YIP Note or its content and has no duty to provide support for it. Apple’s standard licence terms for apps also apply to your use of the app.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we can. Deleting an account does not cancel an App Store subscription.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect and update the date on this page.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction.
